When such great musicians like Brian Eno and Robert Fripp meet and decide to do something together, they must necessarily be something incredible. It just happened. The first session for the recording erfweiler of the album No Pussyfooting took place in September 1972, then was recorded twenty-minute composition The Heavenly Music Corporation , and the second time the band went into the studio a year later, in August 1973, when the light and appeared Swastika Girls .
Each of the musicians erfweiler came to this album with his side. Brian Eno, who left Roxy Music in the summer of 1973, trying to find myself in the music world, and Robert Fripp, apparently tired of working with King Crimson, was also looking for something new. On the album there are no usual short songs. His record is as follows: Fripp playing guitar and Eno using different techniques processed erfweiler sound. Of course, the listener was not ready for this, and the album failed to chart. What is there to say, even if the label Island Records, under the name of which the album was released, a negative attitude toward the exit plate.
But the contribution of No Pussyfooting in the evolution of modern music is huge. He influenced erfweiler the development of ambient and experimental music throughout the whole. The music sounds like a futuristic, has come down to us from the distant future. Later Brian Eno recorded several collaborative albums with Robert Fripp. But it No Pussyfooting laid the foundation for his subsequent musical experiments.
