From Nothweiler at Dahn provide for various hikes to the paths to the castle ruins.
Since we had recently made the 4-castle tour during the week (www.gps-tour.info/de/touren/detail.75022.html), which is very attractive for its views, there should be a similar hike today. On this sunny Sunday but too many people were at the Castle Tour from Nothweiler working for us, so that we chose the following alternative:
First, it comes from the Orsmitte with the blue bar up toward the ruins Wegelnburg. But after vigorous increase it's in the blue bar back down towards deer valley, a small town near the French border. After crossing the L488 and on the other side of the Sauer, a small stream that runs through the village, the path marker is green-yellow our further way. A small piece of this path is also bike path. Schoenau it goes right up to the church on a paved road with the mark green bar. This path leads back well developed first long uphill, then down again after Nothweiler.
