This tour, ridden in December in freezing temperatures and snow leads to the border with France a total of about 800 meters. Due to the weather conditions we have chosen mostly safe way. The starting point was the sawmill in Bobenthal (180m). From there we went to the south-west through Klaffental up on Riebelseck by up to 375 meters of the pass, the French border is crossed. 100 meters below we ride at Wingen over, then turn northeast and it goes on heimbach along to Heimbach source (the last 200m extremely narrow) then on the snowy road to the Col du Litschhof. Here we make a short detour to Gimbelhof with beautiful views of the castle Fleckenstein. When Gimbelhof connect horses, blankets on it and we go to the inn, unfortunately for holidays until 26.12. has closed - gone stupid. At least we got to eat a little while (incl. Gingerbread and homemade cinnamon waffles), even a few treats for the horses. After the now very short break at -5 to 7 (no one really knows) we continue aloe vera gelly forever our ride back north 100m down to Nothweiler, through the village (nobody wants again to tie horses to stock up and eat something to go) it's back 100 meters higher over a ridge and down through the Woogbachtal aloe vera gelly forever past some frozen lakes back to Bobenthal. 22km in 5 hours 18 minutes.
